THE WIZARD OF OZ

August 9

Join Us for a Special Evening at Merivale Mall

Experience a night of Classic Hollywood Cinema!

Event Highlights:

Pre-Show (5-8 pm) is a super fun family-friendly party - with face painting, bouncy castles, treats, and more! Nelson House of Ottawa Carleton will be on-site accepting $ donations.

  • Film Screening: The movie will start at dusk (around 8:30 PM). Arrive early to secure a good spot! You will find us in the mall parking lot behind the Harvey's.

  • Explore the Neighbourhood: Before the film, take some time to explore what the Merivale Mall has to offer. Take in a VR game at VRAdventures.ZONE, grab some food from a local restaurant, or attend the fun fair that's happening before the film -  you are sure to have a great night.

  • Create Memories: Like all our events, this is a perfect opportunity to create special memories. Bring a picnic, chairs, and blankets to snuggle up and enjoy a fantastic night with a great film.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Land Acknowledgement

We would like to acknowledge that the lands on which we live, work, study, and gather belong to the Algonquin Nation. Ottawa is built on unceded Anishinabe Algonquin territory. The peoples of the Anishinabe Algonquin Nation have inhabited this territory for millennia, and their enduring culture and traditions have significantly shaped and continue to enrich this land. We are profoundly grateful for their cultural heritage and presence, which have nurtured and sustained this region, enabling us to come together as a community and create lasting memories. Capital Pop-Up Cinema honours the peoples and the land of the Anishinabe Algonquin Nation, recognizing the importance of their cultural contributions.
