Land Acknowledgement

We would like to acknowledge that the lands on which we live, work, study, and gather belong to the Algonquin Nation. Ottawa is built on unceded Anishinabe Algonquin territory. The peoples of the Anishinabe Algonquin Nation have inhabited this territory for millennia, and their enduring culture and traditions have significantly shaped and continue to enrich this land. We are profoundly grateful for their cultural heritage and presence, which have nurtured and sustained this region, enabling us to come together as a community and create lasting memories. Capital Pop-Up Cinema honours the peoples and the land of the Anishinabe Algonquin Nation, recognizing the importance of their cultural contributions.
